Individual Counselling

 

We often come to counselling when life feels heavy, unmanageable or when we feel stuck or overwhelmed. You may be suffering from anxiety, trauma, depression or trauma. Whatever your reason is for seeking counselling, I hope that I can help. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I provide counselling for women and men, parenting support, trauma therapy, depression therapy, and anxiety therapy.

My practice is based on a person-centered approach, which sees the client as the expert of their own life and the relationship with the therapist to be genuine, accepting, and understanding. My goal is to help you overcome the issues you’re facing and live in alignment with your true self.

Parent Support Counselling

 

Parenting comes with many challenges. Often parents come to parenting support counselling when they need direction with their child’s behaviour or emotions. A child’s behaviour may be impacting the child-parent relationship and family dynamic. Areas of focus are parent-child relationship issues, the child’s behavioural or emotional issues, attachment issues, and parenting and family conflict. My goal is to help build and strengthen your relationship with your child for years to come. When working with young children, we will often work with the parent to help manage the child’s behaviour.

Couple’s Counselling

 

No relationship is perfect and sometimes you need the help of a therapist to help move through some difficult issues. Topics often include money, infidelity, disconnect, intimacy, parenting, and frequent arguments. If you are wanting help to deepen your connection, resolve conflict, or strengthen your relationship, I offer online or in-person couple’s counselling.

Pediatric Sleep Consulting

 

If you are like most parents with young children, you’re likely very tired. Sleep issues are common in babies and young children and affect the whole family. My sleep plans use a more gentle approach than typical sleep training programs. Sleep plans are evidence-based and focus on the parent-child bond. I will always meet you wherever you are on your comfort level around sleep training. If you are a co-sleeping family, or a family that has slept in different rooms since day one, we’ll make a plan that works for you and your family’s needs. My goal is to get you more sleep.
